Spain: Lightsource bp acquires a 1.06 gigawatt (GW) project portfolio distributed across Spain from RIC Energy

Through the partnership,
Lightsource bp, a global leader in the development and management of solar energy projects, has acquired a 1.06 gigawatt (GW) project portfolio distributed across Spain from
RIC Energy, a global developer of PV projects.
Lightsource bp and RIC Energy will work in partnership to develop the 14 sites across Madrid, Andalucía, and Castilla y León. The first projects are expected to reach “ready to build” status by the end of 2021, with the installations expected to enter operation in stages from 2023 to 2025. Lightsource bp will work to bring the project portfolio to financial close and secure the construction contract with an EPC company.
Jonathan Preston Fisher, a Blacksburg attorney whose failures to appear for court drew attention from judges across the New River and Roanoke valleys and beyond, on Friday had his law license temporarily suspended by the Virginia State Bar.
Fisher, 44, was cited by the bar for a series of problems with 10 clients he represented, including missing hearings and not properly handling clientsâ money. Bar investigators found that some of his clients were convicted after Fisher did not show up to defend them and that he had not properly held money in a trust account until he completed work for a client as attorneys are required to do.
Solstad announces contract awards within renewable energy and subsea

Solstad Offshore has announced four contract awards for three of its subsea construction vessels (CSV).
Normand Energy will support a project for a Client in the Pacific Ocean with an estimated duration of 5 months, including mobilization and de-mobilization. The contract is scheduled to commence during February 2021.
Far Samson has secured a contract for support off cable lay operations. This agreement is firm for 90 days with options for the remainder of 2021. Commencement in April/May 2021.
Normand Jarstein has secured a contract with a Norwegian subsea contractor for a project in West Africa. The commencement will be January 2021 and the duration are two months firm plus one-month option. In addition, Normand Jarstein has been awarded a contract with a UK based oil company for a duration of approx. 2 months firm, the commencement will be second half May 2021.
